Karaoke setup guides

Set up karaoke on a computer, tablet or TV

Choose a playback device, check sound, and understand fullscreen and phone remote controls for your karaoke party.

Use a browser-capable playback device

Start with a computer or tablet and a current browser. To use a TV, connect your computer or use a compatible display-sharing setup. Smart TV browsers vary, so test your specific device before relying on it for a party.

Enable video and sound locally

Add an approved song, then press Start on the playback screen. Browser autoplay rules can require a direct tap on that device. If playback is blocked, use the enable-playback prompt or the YouTube play button on the main screen.

Check fullscreen before the party

Tap Full screen on the playback device. Browser and iPad restrictions can affect whether browser controls disappear. Black bars may remain when the video shape differs from the screen; stretching the image would distort it.

Pair a phone for host controls

Pro hosts can open the phone remote to manage playback and requests. Keep the main playback page open and its device awake. Use the guest QR code for singers, and keep private host and remote links private.
