How to host a karaoke night at home

Set up a browser-based karaoke party, invite your friends and get the first song playing with NVKTV.

Choose your playback screen

Open NVKTV on the computer or tablet that will play the videos. If you want a larger display, connect that device to your TV using an appropriate cable or supported screen-sharing method. Check the picture and sound before guests arrive. NVKTV plays YouTube karaoke videos; it does not require a microphone to run. Your microphone and speakers are a separate audio setup.

Open a session and add a song

Create a session, then scan its guest QR code with a phone. Search for a karaoke version, choose the video and add it to the queue with a singer name. If request approval is enabled, the host must approve it before it can play.

Start the party

Press Start on the device playing the video. A phone remote cannot grant another browser permission to play sound. Keep the playback page open. Try a different video if the uploader has disabled embedding or it is unavailable in your location.

Give everyone a turn

Share the guest link with your friends. Guests can request songs without an account. Free accounts save favorites; Pro adds tools such as phone host controls, request limits, playlists and duets. Scores are playful entertainment, not a measurement of singing ability.
